Zan Associates is serving as the public involvement coordinator for reconstruction of 66th Street (County Road 53) between Xerxes Avenue South and 16th Avenue South in Richfield, MN. The new road is designed to be safer, more livable and welcoming while balancing potential impacts to residents and businesses along the corridor. We are responsible for the following general activities:

• Meeting with individual businesses prior to and throughout construction to explain the project and answer questions

• Preparing weekly construction updates, maps and graphics illustrating upcoming construction activities

• Working with businesses and the contractor to develop and implement access plans

• Working with businesses, property owners and the contractor to address problems when they arose during construction

• Preparing special maps and communication pieces to assist business owners in communicating with their customers

• Organizing and implementing bi-weekly sidewalk meetings talk with residents and business owners

• Managing a project hotline and email including responses to comments and tracking

• Working with Hennepin County, other agencies, the contractor and sub-contractors to address all issues and respond to any emergencies

• Participating in construction meetings 

• Preparing and implementing a communications plan
