Brigitte Bjorklund is the Director of Education and Equity at Zan Associates. For over 20 years, Bri­gitte has collaborated with educators, business leaders, students and families to bring learning to life in communities nationwide. Her efforts around curriculum development, instruction, professional learning and facilitation are infused with best practices around diversity, equity and inclusion, and she is committed to working collaboratively to build culturally responsive workplaces. As an elementary school teacher, Brigitte’s focus ranged from classroom instruction to strategic planning at the district and state level. In her leadership position within a corporate educational content organization, she developed and implemented in-person and virtual services in rural, urban and suburban school districts. In all of her professional roles, Brigitte has focused on partnering with diverse individuals, districts and communities, making space for deep listening around specific challenges and strengths, and working together to reach shared goals. Additionally, Brigitte’s data-driven management of complex projects and multiple teams has helped her foster on-time and on-budget solutions. Overall, her passion around connecting with people from a myriad of backgrounds has helped her lift all voices and honor all experiences in her quest to educate, engage and inspire.
