Zan Associates has worked with MnDOT and the University of Minnesota Center for Transportation Studies over the past decade to develop and teach several design workshops on context sensitive solutions, design flexibility, public participation and complete streets. The workshops help transportation professionals develop the skills to implement a flexible design approach that results in more context sensitive solutions and more complete streets. THe workshops are part of an ongoing training curriculum provided by MnDOT, with multiple events every year. Zan Associates was part of the team that conducted several forums and webinars on specific topics related to context sensitive solutions during construction, operations, maintenance; ADA compliance during construction; design flexibility; and effective communications strategies.
