Position overview
Are you a seasoned project manager passionate about community engagement and public infrastructure? Zan Associates is growing, and we’re looking for a Senior Project Advisor to join our dynamic team of high-performing professionals.
In this role, you’ll provide strategic guidance and mentorship to project managers while also leading complex, high-impact projects in the transportation and infrastructure space. Reporting to our Project Management Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in advancing our strategic approach to project management.
About the position
In this Senior Associate-level position, you would be part of a team of planners, engagement
specialists, and communications professionals, reporting to the Operations Manager. Specific tasks associated with this role include:

Advise Across Projects: Support 10–20 active projects with strategic input, quality control, and engagement planning.

Lead Key Projects: Manage 2–5 high-priority projects directly, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, and client relationships.

Mentor & Coach: Help grow our team by sharing knowledge, offering feedback, and supporting professional development.

Champion Engagement: Promote innovative, inclusive community engagement and communications strategies.

Drive Business Growth: Contribute to proposals, marketing, networking, and client relationship building.

7+ years of experience in project management, community engagement, and communications, specifically in transportation or infrastructure.

Proven leadership in mentoring and managing teams.

Strong facilitation, communication, and client service skills.

Familiarity with public agency processes and multi-modal transportation projects.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s or PMP certification a plus).
Salary
Salary range is $115,000 - $123,000
Position location
Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid – 3 days in office / 2 days remote)
